Destiny stared at the mirror in disbelief.
She was human. She was still human. Or close enough that no
one could tell.
If she ever got hold of...
She considered her options. There were so many people she
could curse, going back about a hundred or more years. The mouse was pretty
high on her list. She was mildly surprised he wasn't higher on everyone's list
considering what trouble he caused.
Then again he was the keyblader of darkness. If she
remembered rightly those keybladers did tend to work from the shadows, hid the
truth, and generally believed they knew what was best for everyone. That they
consistently threw themselves and everyone around them into danger was normally
ignored due to the shear amount of knowledge they were privy to.
It was their nature. Except... it hadn't been in the mouse's
nature to work from the shadows until he received the keyblade, neither was he
known for hiding needed truths. Being the keyblader for darkness had changed
him.
It was all the evidence she needed, the keyblades changed
their chosen ones. They didn't make it obvious, looking instead for those who
fit, but when it wasn't a prefect fit, it was made so.
The keybladers were tools.
But those thoughts didn’t get her out of her current
predicaments.
She was human.
She was trapped.
The heartless were coming.
The only thing she had going for her was her title as
Guardian. Not that that meant much, just a bit more magic that the usual, and
handy with a blade.
She wasn’t meant to be human.
She was meant to be the barrier that kept the world of the
little guardians away from the rest of the universe. A force of nature.
Not Human!
Only the source of her power had gone, thanks to the mouse.
Alright, the other keybladers were to blame as well, but the
mouse led them, so all their mistakes could be blamed on him.
The elemental hearts of Darkness, Twilight, Dawn and Light
were gone. They had disappeared into their respective keybladers years ago,
weakening the barriers.
