Mad at Mouse Part 64

It had been a year.

A very strange year by most accounts, but Ferb had taken most of it in stride.

He still had the heart.

Destiny’s last hope.

It had grown. Sometimes he wondered if he should do something with it, it had been entrusted to him, but it seemed so small, so young.

Destiny had said he would know, that all he had to do was listen, and the heart would tell him.

He had listened.

The heart had asked to come here.

Tomorrow would have the celebrations, the feasts and parties and all those sort of things.

Today was quiet, they were still in mourning. Would probably mourn a long time.

Phineas stood beside him, Candace behind, and the Queen, Minnie she said to call her, stood on the other side of the monument.

Phineas chatted away, words always came easily to his brother. Phineas had grown in the past year, they all had.

“Bye Perry...” Phineas said, touching the diamond.

It flashed.

“Um...” Phineas looked over to him, “Did you see that Ferb?”

Ferb nodded, and reached out to touch the diamond. It was warm.

“Your majesty?” Candace called out, “I think...”

Minnie darted around the diamond. “Oh dear!” She exclaimed, “Is there...” She glanced at the boys’ hands, and the pulsing light seeping into the crystal.

“Mickey!” She gasped, and placed a hand on the crystal, the light and warmth growing in strength.

The light pulsed, faster and faster.

Please...” Someone said in a whisper.

The little heart flew out of Ferb’s pocket, whirling around the diamond before zipping inside.

The diamond shattered.

The two trapped within fell to their knees, taking hesitant breaths.

“We’re alive?” Mickey asked breathlessly.

“Mickey!” Minnie gloomped him, bestowing kisses and tears in equal measure.

Perry chirped hopefully in the boys, his boys direction.

“Perry!” Phineas swept him up and whirled him around, “We’ve missed you Perry.”

Fin.

Mad at Mouse Part 63

It was over.

No one saw what happened to Kismet, Dilemma and Plight, although later they found a room in the castle with a ritual circle marked on the floor and three small piles of dust.

Slowly the ice melted.

Not quick enough for Phineas and Ferb, who built a machine that mined through the ice, looking for life signs.

Instead they found something strange.

At ground zero of the spell stood, not ice, but diamond.

Each of the lives that had stood at the centre were trapped eternal.

There was no sign of Destiny.

Mickey and Perry had been standing back to back.

Victory had been achieved.

The stars didn’t come back.

Mad at Mouse Part 62

So close, yet so far.

No matter. She knew what would get his attention.

“He has done it!” She sang, circling around a demon and taking his breath.

“It is finished!” She swept around the others.

“He has done it!” She was gaining attention, but not his.

“Death is beaten!” And just like that she had his attention.

She dodged the first attack, the heat of it passing burning her.

Get closer. She thought, and arched over another fiery beam.

Demons cleared the way, or died.

In His rage saw only her.

She smiled, almost there, almost close enough...

She didn’t see it coming.

“Heaven beckons me...” whispered over the battle field, as magic poured free, sacrifice accepted.

The skies opened.

The winds howled.

Ice grew.

Like the largest Blizzaja they had ever since, ice formed, spiked out and formed again, whirling through the Demonic army.

Diamond dust formed, the air suddenly too cold to breath as Demons froze from the inside and shattered in dust.

The allied forces watched in disbelief as a single spell seemed to destroy thousands of the enemy.

The wind picked up the fragments, glittering in all colours, a brief cyclone of magic.

And it was over.

Mad at Mouse Part 61

The boys were in danger.

The words repeated themselves around and around in his head.

The boys were in danger.

There could be no enjoyment in his skills here.

The boys were in danger.

No thrill as his abilities were matched and surpassed.

The boys were in danger.

No satisfaction at finding a partner that could match him move for move, watch his back as he watched his.

The boys were in danger.

No mercy for those who threatened what was his.

The World needs saving Agent P. Will you step up?

Mad at Mouse Part 60

Climbing higher, in the fire.

She didn’t have breath to sing, but oh, how she wanted to.

King of Heaven, Dying for you.

It was a mess, complete chaos.

Freedom I shouldn’t know.

She kept half a breeze on the small beings following her, but delighted in their easy forms.

Such a love this is for me.

If she didn’t know better, she would say they were made to fight together such as this.

Time is running out.

She could see him. How...? There.

Heaven beckons me.
