Mad at Mouse Part 30

Perry quickly worked on escaping while Doofenschmirtz answered the door.

He should have made a note of the date, of course Doofenschmirtz was going to be completely focused on Vanessa’s Birthday Party next week. He even had a present wrapped up at home to give the girl when the Party feel through like it usually did.

Stars going out was a little more important to Perry’s mind, but no one else seemed all that worried about it so far.

Then he stopped. Froze in place upon seeing the woman Doofenschmirtz was inviting in.

It was her. The stranger. The visitor.

What was she doing here?

And had she been dusted with paint or something from one of the boys’ inventions because her hair had gone from a dusty purple to a mint green.

Maybe it was a wig?

Perry darted behind Doofenschmirtz’s desk and carefully made his way over to listen to their conversation.

“Only the best for my little girl!” Doofenschmirtz was saying, “I want the works. Cake, banners, party games!”

The woman looked interested. No one ever looked interested when Doofenschmirtz was talking. Her eyes were wide and she was smiling.

Perry felt a flare of anger at the woman, and glared at her.

“Oh, by the way, I didn’t catch your name?”

“I’m Destiny.” She smiled and shrugged, “Have you gotten any input from your daughter Heinz? If we’re going to make this a great party, it might be good to have her favourite games up.”

“Oh Vanessa is wonderful. Last year she put such a good face on it, there was a teeny tiny accident with the fireworks so most of the decorations were destroyed or ruined, but my baby girl is so sweet, and her friends were really nice about it, the party went on despite everything.”

Perry face palmed.

And Destiny noticed him.

“And who is this little guy?” She asked.

“Perry!” Doofenschmirtz exclaimed, “You got out of your cage!” He turned to Destiny, “This is my nemesis, Perry the Platypus.” He introduced as Perry glared, “Perry, this is Destiny, she’s going to help out with Vanessa’s Party this year.”

She nods seriously, “Every Evil Genius should have a proper nemesis.” And Perry blinked, considering her. He hadn’t thought she was in the business.

“Yes, although I don’t know that I would call myself a genius. Evil yes!” Doofenschmirtz chuckled his evil chuckle, “I plan to take over the Tri-State area!”

Her eyes flickered to Doofenschmirtz for a moment, but Destiny was more intent on Perry, a fact that was a cause for concern.

Perry chirped at her, and raised an eyebrow. Did she know? Had she seen him earlier?

“Heinz,” Destiny seemed to hesitate, “I didn’t actually come about the Party.” She tilted her head and nodded slightly.

“You didn’t?” Doofenschmirtz asked, frowning.

“Don’t worry. I’m quite willing to help out. But... I would rather trade services, if you’re up for it?”

“Oh.”

“It’s nothing big. Well, it’s up to you really. I wondered if you could build me a small Inator? Something I could use against the Heartless?”

Perry chirped angrily.
