Destiny didn’t know where she was.
The ghosts in her head had calmed but not left, they were
a murmur against her senses, sending sparks along her vision and making her
skin crawl.
There was chaos in her head.
She needed to get away from the noise, find someplace she
could think.
A thread of music attracted her attention, not the loud
demanding beats from before, with their frantic pace and ever changing
melodies.
This was calm. Steady.
This promised the peace she so desperately needed.
She followed it down, her route bypassing the guards,
avoiding the strange souls who lived above, further away from the assault
against her senses.
Getting as close as she could, then curling up on the
cold marble floor.
She waited.
Looked up.
“Oh. It’s you.”
