“Everything’s going to be alright.” Destiny stepped out
into the midst of a mess, she didn’t know what they were doing but everyone
looked very busy.
She skipped past workers, everyone intent on their tasks.
There was a music to it.
“I believe.” She held the tiny heart close, it fluttered
quickly against her skin, like a humming bird.
There was determination here. Strength of will. A joining
of strengths.
“Be strong.” She said, dancing under a massive frame
work.
She spotted the bright red hair of Phineas first, and
moments later located his shadow.
“Never forget.” She circled around, the boys had dozens
of plans out and seemed to be discussing them with a pair of chipmunks.
“I believe in you.” Destiny whispered to the smallest Heart,
a whisper of motion near Ferb, catching the boy’s attention, and Destiny
motioned him away.
“I have a plan.” Destiny said.
Ferb raised an eyebrow, and gestured around them.
“Yes, this is good. I’m impressed. But your talent isn’t
your tech.” Destiny flinched as something clanged, and she pulled Ferb further
away.
He was listening. Ferb always listened.
“Your brother calls to people. He’s a bright star. One of
the brightest. When he comes, he will go after Phineas.”
Ferb’s eyes narrowed and his hands fisted.
“He will come
for me first. I will make sure of it. If I don’t succeed...” She held out her
hand, cupping the little light.
“This is a seed. A world heart waiting to grow. It needs
a Guardian.”
Ferb looked into her eyes solemnly, and nodded.
“I believe in you.” She said, putting her last hope in
his hands.
