Mad at Mouse Part 46

Phineas and Ferb hopped out their ship, Phineas looking about, wide eyed with wonder, as Ferb poked at the device he was carrying.

Their friends, and a several other interested parties had followed them out.

“So... This the place?” Buford said, looking around the garden with a measure of distain in his manner, “Not impressed.”

“Oh I don’t know Buford. The castle is pretty.” Bejeet replied.

Buford gave his nerd a flat look. “Right.”

A number of guards filed out the castle, and the lead figure opened his helm. “You missed the landing zone.” The guard grouched, looking over the crowd of people who had disembarked from the ships. He gestured, “Gummi Ships are meant to land over there, not in the Queen’s gardens.”

“Oh!” Phineas said, “We’re sorry, we didn’t see any signs up saying where to go, we were just looking for someone.” Phineas pulled out a leaflet, “This is Perry, our platypus, have you seen him?”

The guard glanced at the image, “No...” but reached out for the piece of paper, Phineas let him have it and the guard took a closer look. “But that looks like...”

“Excuse me!” A voice called out, from behind the line of guards. “Coming through! Come on guys, let me...” and Doofenschmirtz pushed his way to the front, “It’s okay guys, I know them.”

“Doctor D!” Phineas exclaimed, “You have Perry!”

Perry chirped, and jumped into Phineas’s arms. “We missed you boy.” He spun around to Ferb, “See, I told you Perry would be fine.”

“Vanessa!” Doofenschmirtz called out happily, “You came! I thought I was going to miss your Birthday!”

“Hey Dad. Yeah... these guys hooked me up with a killer ride.” She gestured to the kids, who were happily celebrating the return of Perry.

“It was terrible. There was this desert, and Destiny got sick, then this kid with a sword showed up and insisted we come with him, and then no one would talk to me, I didn’t have a clue what was going on...” Doofenschmirtz rambled.

“I know Dad.” Vanessa smiled slightly, “But have you seen the fiendish sky we got lately? You have anything to do with that?”

Doofenschmirtz shook his head, “Nope. Destiny said she intended on doing something about that, but she’s kind of in hospital right now, so I don’t think she’s gonna be doing much of anything from now on.”

Vanessa nodded, “So what is going on?”

Doofenschmirtz glanced up, smiled slightly and tilted his head towards Vanessa, “The end of the Universe.”
